Throughout history God has called His people to be vessels of His glory, proclaiming the gospel and advancing His kingdom. At CTS alongside the faithful believers of the Korean Church, we humbly and wholeheartedly embrace His divine calling in Tanzania stepping forward in unwavering obedience and faith.
Tanzania is a nation of breathtaking landscapes rich cultural heritage, and warm-hearted people. Its boundless natural resources and, most importantly, its dynamic and youthful population reflect immense potential. Yet, despite these blessings, access to quality education remains a critical challenge. Now, more than ever, Tanzania urgently needs transformative education to empower the next generation.
Education has the extraordinary power to shape individuals and societies. When anchored in biblical truth, it becomes an even greater force—one that nurtures not only intellect but also moral character and spiritual depth. Korea, having undergone remarkable economic, cultural, and educational advancements within a short span of time, has a responsibility to share its experiences and serve as a bridge for the gospel. Together with the people of Tanzania, we must cultivate and impart the values of God’s kingdom, equipping future generations to fulfill a higher calling.
The mission of establishing and sustaining a university in Tanzania is not without its trials. Linguistic and cultural differences, administrative complexities, and financial constraints pose significant obstacles. However, we take confidence in the unwavering truth that the God who calls is also the God who provides. Scripture assures us, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible” (Matthew 19:26). If this vision has been divinely ordained, no hardship or barrier can hinder its fulfillment.
Tanzania does not merely require education that imparts knowledge and technical skills it needs a holistic, Christ-centered education one that fosters moral integrity, wisdom, and servant leadership. UAUT and UATC are not merely institutions of learning they are to stand as beacons of truth, raising a new generation of leaders who will transform their communities with unshakable faith and a profound sense of purpose.
Our mission is clear to nurture students who not only excel academically but also live according to biblical principles in their personal and professional lives. The graduates of UAUT and UATC, shaped by distinguished scholars and mentors, will go forth as transformational leaders men and women who revere God, uphold righteousness, and embody the spirit of love and service, bringing renewal and hope to their societies and beyond.
The fulfillment of God’s vision for our universities is not a task for a few but a mission that requires the collective commitment of the global Church. Through the partnership of Korean churches, Christian educators, and international faith-based institutions, UAUT and UATC established in Dar es Salaam will not merely be the realization of an individual’s dream, but a sacred endeavor for the glory of God.
By uniting our gifts, supporting one another in prayer, and laboring together in faith, we will witness the mighty hand of God at work. This is not merely an academic endeavor it is a divine commission to shape the future of Tanzania through Christ-centered education and the proclamation of the gospel.
Having received immeasurable grace through the gospel, the Korean Church now bears a solemn duty to extend that grace to others. May we, with steadfast hearts, answer God’s call to Africa. Let us move forward in faith, trusting in His guidance, and working together to expand His kingdom in Tanzania. As we fix our eyes upon the King who calls us, may we press forward in unity, faith, and prayer, striving together to establish a legacy of righteousness in this land.
But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well” (Matthew 6:33).
