In celebration of the upcoming launch of the Diploma in Journalism & Media Production at UATC, we’re excited to announce the UAUT/UATC Media Challenge 2025 a vibrant and creative competition for aspiring storytellers, journalists, and media professionals.

Who Can Join?

1. Form Four and Form Six students
2. Certificate holders in media, journalism, or related programs
3. Any qualified individuals interested in pursuing a diploma in media and journalism

2. Voice of the Future – News Anchor Challenge

3. Short Film Production

4. Creative Media Writing Challenge

5. Photojournalism

Key Dates

1. Registration Opens: June 15, 2025
2. Registration Closes: August 15, 2025
3. Judging Period: August 16 – August 30, 2025
4. Results & Award Ceremony: September 10, 2025 at UAUT Campus

Awards & Scholarships

Each category offers cash prizes and scholarships:

1. 1st Place: 1,000,000 TZS + Scholarship
2. 2nd Place: 800,000 TZS + Scholarship
3. 3rd Place: 500,000 TZS + Scholarship

Special Honors:

1. Grand Prize: An extra 1,000,000 TZS + a sponsored trip to the CTS Media Center in Korea
2. Admissions Advantage: Priority entry and scholarships to UATC’s new diploma program
3. Studio Experience: Hands-on sessions at UAUT/UATC media labs
