Rev. Jung Seok Kim Donates $2,000 in Scholarships
Rev. Jung Seok Kim, Presiding Bishop of the Korean Methodist Church and senior pastor of Kwanglim Church, generously donated $2,000 in scholarships to support students facing financial difficulties. His donation came during his visit to the university alongside the heads of major Korean denominational assemblies.

The university administration, through its scholarship committee, identified students with outstanding academic performance who were unable to pay their tuition for the semester due to financial hardship. As a result, eight students—Paul Philip Rimbani, Mawazo Ibrahim Laita, Peter Godfrey Rocks, Rashid Juma Shabani, Norbert H. Kira, Nurdin Qassim Shafii, Isack John Simbeye, and Paulo Mathew—were awarded the scholarship.
These students were previously at risk of missing their final exams due to financial constraints. However, thanks to Rev. Kim’s generosity, they were able to sit for their exams without hindrance. The scholarship recipients expressed their heartfelt gratitude, unanimously affirming their commitment to repaying the love they had received by helping others in the future.

A university representative also conveyed deep appreciation, stating, “Rev. Kim’s scholarship donation is more than just financial assistance; it is a testament to the spirit of Christian love and generosity. His kindness has provided struggling students with hope and encouragement.” Rev. Kim’s act of benevolence has left a lasting impact on the students and the university community, embodying the essence of faith in action.
