About Prof. Thierry Nouidui

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIOS

Prof. Thierry S. Nouidui is a respected academic, Originally from Douala, Cameroon, he studied in Germany, earning an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Kiel, followed by a Ph.D. in building performance simulation.

EXPERTISE

Expert in building energy modeling, simulation, and control systems. Prof. Nouidui has held several important roles at well-known institutions. He worked as a scientist at the Fraunhofer Institute in Germany and as a Principal Scientific Engineering Associate at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in California. Later, he became the Head of the Computer Engineering and IT Department and the Dean of the School of Technology, Engineering, and Business Studies (STEBS) at the United African University of Tanzania (UAUT). Currently, he serves as Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Academic Affairs at UAUT, where he leads academic programs, supports research, and guides the university’s long-term goals. Prof. Nouidui has been a leader in improving building performance simulation. His research has helped develop new tools for designing and managing energy-efficient buildings and cities, making a big impact on sustainable urban development and reducing energy use around the world.
