Scholarship Donated by Missionary Joshua Jin Sup Lee and His Son Kyu Han Lee

Rev. Jin Sup Lee , the founder of UAUT, has generously donated $1,800 in scholarships, while his son, Kyu Han Leen, residing in the United States, contributed an additional $600. This scholarship fund is expected to provide significant support to students facing financial difficulties.

The university’s scholarship committee carefully allocated Rev. Lee’s donation into loan scholarships, merit-based scholarships, and service scholarships, selecting students in need to receive financial assistance. The selected students were honored in the VC’s Office, where they were presented with scholarship certificates and financial awards, along with words of encouragement from Rev. Lee and university officials. A total of eight students were awarded scholarships from Rev. Lee’s donation: Gift, Joseph, Herman, Mohamed, Peter, Samuel, Steve, and Deo. These students were selected based on academic excellence and their contributions to the university through service.

Additionally, the scholarship donated by Rev. Lee’s Son, Kyu Hwan Lee (Hannah Lee), was awarded to four students: Yusra Abdallah, Edisoni John Makalangra, Linus Rwechoka, and Samson Patrick Joseph. These students were recognized for their outstanding academic achievements and dedication. A university representative expressed deep gratitude, stating, “We sincerely appreciate the generosity of Rev. Joshua Lee and his family. Their kindness provides students with the strength to continue their academic journeys.”

The scholarship recipients also shared their heartfelt appreciation, vowing to work even harder in their studies. This scholarship initiative has served as a powerful reminder of the value of education and the importance of giving, inspiring hope for continued support so that more students can achieve their dreams.
